Obituary of Arthur Wilson

Arthur Dubose "A.D" Wilson, 81, husband of Bertha Ward Wilson passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 at his home.
Born on May 20, 1931, in Williamsburg County, he was a son of the late Arthur James Wilson and the late Bertie Mae Martin Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a member of Saint’s Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church where he was a member of the Dorothy & Larry Lambert Sunday School Class and the church choir. He also served as a church musician. Mr. Wilson was a retired machinist with the Detyen’s Shipyard as well as instrumental in organizing the Gospel Filling Station in Lamberttown. He was also involved in the Lamberttown Community Center.
Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; two sons, Bruce Cusack (Dianne) of Georgetown and Randy Wilson (Elaine) of Andrews; two daughters, Rita Wilson (Phillip) of Georgetown and Penny Cox (Randy) of Andrews; one sister, Frances Cumbie (Dan) of Andrews; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Will Cusack; three brothers, Woodrow Wilson, Charles Wilson and Bishop Wilson; and a sister, Vera Howard.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Saint’s Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Chris Browder officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at Saint’s Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
