Phillip Edward Wilson, 56, husband of Rita Faye Wilson, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at his residence.
Born on December 23, 1956, in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late Tillman Wilson and the late Esther Wilson Ward. Mr. Wilson attended Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from the Santee Cooper Winyah Generating Station. Mr. Wilson had a great love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of Georgetown; three children, Sabrina Lambert (Marshall), Tabitha Lambert (Marty) and Phil Wilson (Melissa) all of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Dean "Bullet" Lambert, Heather "Pistol" Lambert, Dillon "Slug" Lambert, Reese "Cricket" Lambert, Braxten "Striker" Wilson and Tillman "Buckshot" Wilson all of Georgetown; four sisters, Mary Cox (Bobby) of Andrews, Kitty McCants (Joe) of Sumter, Patsy Wilson of Georgetown and Elaine Hutson (Dreyfus) of Sumter; ten brothers, James Wilson (Margie) of Georgetown, David Wilson (Eleanor) of Andrews, Steve Wilson (Marcia) of Suttons, Bobby Wilson (Bertha) of Georgetown, Rocky Ward of Georgetown, Leroy Ward (Patricia) of Georgetown, Glen Ward (Patsy) of Andrews, Charles Ward (Linda) of Goose Creek and Kenneth Ward (Lynn) of California, Nuel Wilson (Kitty) of Germany; one sister in law, Jeanette Wilson; a best friend, Ike Lambert, Jr.; mother in law, Bertha Wilson of Georgetown, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Chris Browder officiating. Burial will follow in the Holmes Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church.
