Obituary of Gordon Harrelson

Gordon Dennis Harrelson, 62, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born on June 7, 1950, in Georgetown, he was a son of the late Gordon Harrelson and the late Dorothy Bookhart Harrelson. Mr. Harrelson attended Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Survivors include three children, April H. Nelson (Brad) of Morehead City, NC, Beverly H. Meetz (Jamie) of Columbia and Gordon Harrelson, II (Rachel) of Loganville; nine grandchildren, Zachary Nelson, Caitlyn Nelson, Caroline Nelson, Timothy Meetz, Christian Meetz, Brandon Meetz, Ryan Meetz, Lillian Harrelson and Chase Harrelson; one sister, Karen H. Cox (Lee) of Georgetown; two brothers, Daniel E. Harrelson of North Port, FL and Mark A. Harrelson (Katie) of Georgetown; one aunt, Mary Lee Smith of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, May 23, 2013 in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Arden Hallman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Graham Funeral Home, PO Box 1277 Georgetown, SC 29442.
