Obituary of Michelle Dixon

Michelle Marie Dixon, 23, passed away on June 27, 2013 after a courageous 23 year battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
Born on April 24, 1990, in Laurel, MD, she was a daughter of William F. Dixon and Karen S. Huffer Dixon. Michelle was a member of First Baptist Church and worked at the Murrells Inlet Veterinary Hospital. She enjoyed reading, shopping and had a great love for animals. Michelle had the brightest smile and a kind word for everyone, always thinking of others before herself, and touched many hearts.
Survivors include her mother and father of Pawleys Island; a sister, Heather Dixon of Murrells Inlet; paternal grandfather, Robert T. Dixon of Pawleys Island; a special friend, Angie Harris of Garden City; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and the love of her life, Piper.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Shirley Dixon; and maternal grandparents, Joan and Charles Huffer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM Monday, July 1, 2013 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ted Sherrill officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-5 PM Sunday at Graham Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Murrells Inlet Veterinary Hospital, 3928 Hwy 17 Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
