Obituary of Mary Langston

Mary "Pat" A. Langston, 63, wife of William Thomas Langston, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Born on January 4, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas Armstrong and the late Mary Kelly Armstrong. Mrs. Langston was a member of Saint Mary, Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church where she served as the past president of the Saint Mary’s Catholic Women’s Club on several terms through the years. She became the president of the Pee Dee Deanery Council of Catholic Women and from there she served as president of the South Carolina Council of Catholic Women. She was currently serving as the Secretary Treasure for Associate of the South Carolina Council of Catholic Women which gave her status as a board member for the state council. She is the immediate past Province Director for the Province of Atlanta Council of Catholic Women and a board member for the National Council of Catholic Women. Over the past 32 years, Pat has served on and chaired various committees on all rings of council and has been instrumental in making and bringing about many positive changes. Her voice may be silent but her impact has been remarkable and will never be forgotten.
Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; three sons, Christopher Patrick Langston (Jamie) of Murrells Inlet, Kevin Foster Langston of Summerville and William Thomas Langston Jr. (Kelsey Andrus) of Columbia; one grandson, Dylan Langston of Murrells Inlet; four brothers, Larry Armstrong (Alice) of Spartanburg, Kerry Armstrong (Hilda) of Perry, FL, Billy Armstrong (Susan) of Hampton and Kevin Armstrong (Faye) of Aiken; two sisters, Judy Causey of Sumter and Denise Simpson (Matt) of Naples, FL; her mother in law, Sue Langston of Moncks Corner and brother in law, Charles Langston of Moncks Corner; and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 PM Monday, October 28, 2013 at Saint Mary, Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church with Father Mike Kuhn officiating. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Saturday at Graham Funeral Home.
