Obituary of Colas Cooper

Colas Wyndell Cooper, 66, widower of Marilyn Cooper, died Friday January 24, 2014 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Wyndell was born on September 27, 1947, in Georgetown, to the late Ernest Jenkins Cooper and the late Ida Mae Trimble Cooper. He retired from Georgetown Steel Mill after 30 years of service and was a HUGE Clemson fan. He enjoyed football and golf and was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include two daughters, Hona Miller (Scott) and Wendy Jones (Tootsie) both of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Brittany Miller, Brook Miller, Bryson Miller, Candace Jones and Michelle Jones all of Georgetown and 4 great grandchildren all of Georgetown; four brothers, Jimmy Cooper (Mattie) of Georgetown, Bobby Cooper (Lynette) of Andrews, Mike Cooper of Manning, and Tony Cooper of Manning; one sister, Francis Shelley of Pawleys Island; a number of nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, Johnny Gossett.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marlene Driggers and Honar Mae Parsons; and two brothers, Donnie Cooper and Tommy Cooper.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Teddy Rabon officiating. Burial will follow in Peters Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Saturday at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice House of Georgetown, 2591 N. Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC 29440 or to Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, 1663 N. Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.
