To the dear family of Corrine Ray, Corrine's has remained a very dear and close family friend through all the past years. Her father, Mr. Wes Cribb, was a deputy for my father, Sheriff Bright Bruorton, for a number of years. Corrine, Addie, and Bernice and Jr. were young children living across the street from the jail. The sisters were a large part of my growing up years and visited us often. My last communication was a note from Corrine complimemting me on the restoration and preservation of the 300 year of our Baptist history. She was such a loyal and supportive friend. She will, always, be a part of my life. Also, her son Keith was a friend and classmate of my son, Little Wright Skinner. Will try to get to the service to morrow, but if I do not, please read and know that I feel very close to each of you. my love, Virginia Bruorton Skinner

Corinne was my dear friend of many years always upbeat and such a lovely person. My last visit with her was very special, she was not doing well then but no compliants. I will miss her. She is now at peace with her Heavenly Father. My sympathy to all of those who loved and cared for her, she always spoke lovely of each of you.

My heart is broken. I truly loved this wonderful lady. I visited her at Morningside in late October and I am so glad that I did see her again. As always we had a wonderful visit. She was faithful in staying in touch with my Mother, LaRue Joyner, who had moved to Anderson SC 2 years ago and who died Nov. 30th. I have wonderful photos of how much fun they had together with other friends. My deepest condolences to her family.
