Obituary of Ethel Walker

Ethel Marie Miller Walker, 76, wife of John Tynch, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 23, 1937, in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Miller and the late Sarah Russ Miller. Mrs. Walker was a member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, was the assistant manager at the Choppee High School Cafeteria and was a graduate of Howard High School. Mrs. Walker enjoyed painting, crafts and serving her Lord through many different ways to include playing the piano.
Survivors include her husband of Georgetown; four sons, William "Buck" Walker (Wanda) of Georgetown, Dennis "Glenn" Walker (Cynthia) of Hemingway, Quincey "Ronnie" Walker (Lisa) of Loris and Quintin "Arnie" Walker (Elaine) of Georgetown; two daughters, Janet W. Morris (Barry) of Georgetown and Bonnie Gail "BG" Woodbury (David) of Andrews; six step children, James Tynch (Doris) of Edenton, NC, Johnny Tynch of Edenton, NC, Shirley Madry (Mel) of Edenton, NC, Reba Smith of Hertford, NC, Jamie Howell (Charlie) of Georgetown and Becky Tynch of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Frank R. Miller of Ft. Wayne, IN; and three special sisters, Betty Ray of Georgetown, Kitty Tidwell of Lake City and Ann Williams of Georgetown; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Benjamin Walker; and a son, Timothy E. "Timmy" Walker.
Funeral Services will be held at 4 PM Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Graves Southern Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at Graham Funeral Home.
