Obituary of Arletta Owens Jordan

Arletta Owens Jordan, 88, widow of Robert B. Jordan, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at her home.
Born on November 13, 1925, in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late Alford Owens and the late Florence Cribb Owens. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Saint Mary, Our Lady of Ransom Catholic church where she was a member of the choir, Alters Society and the Catholic Women’s Club. She was a former volunteer at Georgetown Memorial Hospital and enjoyed playing bridge and golf.
Survivors include three children, Margaret J. Salisbury (Bill) of Moncks Corner, Mary J. Cribb (John) of Georgetown and James A. Jordan (Nancy) of Surfside Beach; five grandchildren, Will Salisbury (Tara) of Moncks Corner, Ron Cribb (Kim) of Memphis, TN, Tammy Ware (Bryan) of Monck Corner, Lauren Kuker (Andy) of Austin, TX and Robert Coster of Murrells Inlet; four great grandchildren, Lauren Moore, Katelyn Ware, Caleb Ware and Alex Kuker; one sister, Ilean Tanner of Georgetown; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Frances Myers of Georgetown.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert B. Jordan, Jr.; and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Friday, June 20, 2014 at Saint Mary, Our Lady of Ransom Catholic Church with Father Ron Farrell officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the church the church Parish Hall.
