Obituary of Gloria F. Martin

Mrs. Gloria F. Martin, 59, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. Mrs. Martin, a daughter of the late Roy Faile and Vivian Lloyd Faile, was born April 8, 1955 in York County, South Carolina. She was a Registered Nurse at East Cooper Hospital and loved scrabble and gardening. She was married 43 years to her beloved husband and enjoyed walking on the beach together and spending time with their grandchildren. Mrs. Martin was also a longtime volunteer for Red Cross. Surviving is her husband, Mike Martin of Georgetown; one son, Zachary Jason Martin (Janet) of Summerville; one brother, Steve Faile (Debra) of Newport, SC; one sister Terry Faile Painter of Rock Hill, SC; two grandchildren, Jacob Tyler Martin and Jillian Taylor Martin both of Summerville. She was predeceased by her mother and father. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tidelands Community at 2591 N. Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.
