Ralph W. Pender, 87, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Pender was born December 18, 1927 in Little River, South Carolina. He was a son of the late Joseph T. Pender and Molly Pender.
Mr. Pender was a United States veteran who served with the Army Air Corps in World War II. He retired from auto sales and ran a wrecker service for many years. He was a devoted member of Herbert United Methodist Church and a member of Winyah Masonic Lodge #40 AFM for many years.
A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Marie Nuckles, will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 1pm at Herbert United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 6pm-8pm at Graham Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Elmwood Cemetery.
Surviving are: his son, Ralph Mark Pender (Sheila) of Georgetown; two grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Pender and Laura Ashley Pender both of Georgetown; a number of nieces and nephews; and his friend and long-time caregiver Sue Shelley.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by twelve other siblings.
