Obituary of Lloyd A. Shelley

Georgetown Mr. Lloyd Allison Shelley, 76, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Tidelands Hospice House. Born August 27, 1939 in Georgetown County, he was a son of the late Ishmael and Mary T. Shelley. A retired employee of International Paper Company, Mr. Shelley was a loving father, cherished grandfather, caring brother, loyal friend, and avid cowboy. He leaves behind: two daughters, Jan Shelley Woodberry and her husband Larry, Stephanie Shelley Hutchinson and her husband Michael, all of Pawleys Island; six grandchildren, Nicole Shelley Sumter, Nelson Lloyd Shelley, Jr., Lindsay Woodberry Krieg and her husband Andrew, Skylar Woodberry, Peyton Hutchinson, and Paige Hutchinson; three great-grandchildren, Jarius, Mariah, and Pierce; one sister, Sandra Shelley of North Myrtle Beach: three brothers, Anthony Shelley and Charles Shelley, both of Carvers Bay, and Jesse Shelley of Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr Shelley is reunited with his son, Nelson Lloyd Shelley, who passed away in 1999. A visitation will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, January 18, 2016 at Graham Funeral Home. A private burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tidelands Hospice 2591 North Fraser Street Georgetown, South Carolina 29440.
