Mary Anderson Parker, 90, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at Hospice of Laurens County.
Born May 8, 1926 in Georgetown, she was a daughter of the late Edward Anderson and the late Minnie Lambert Parker.
Mrs. Parker was a devoted member of the Georgetown Church of God and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her son, Dr. H. Leon Parker, Sr. (Brenda) of Gray Court, SC; four grandchildren, H.L. “Lee” Parker, Jr. (Darlene) of Georgetown, Lisa Parker Creek (Wesley) of Huntersville, NC, Lynda Ruth Bacon (Michael) Youngsville, NC, and H. Louis Parker (Kristy) of Yulee, FL; 18 great grandchildren; her brother, Ben Anderson (Betty) of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Rev. H.K. Parker; four brothers, Jackie David Anderson, Harry Lewis Anderson, Bill Anderson, and Edward Anderson; and one sister, Bertha Altman Owens.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 12pm at Georgetown Church of God. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11am-12pm. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
