Lester A. Avant, 57, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at his residence.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 2pm in Graham Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1pm-2pm at Graham Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service in Hucksfield Cemetery.
Born in Georgetown, SC on November 21, 1959, he was a son of the late Hubert Arnold Avant and Betty Jean Avant.
Mr. Avant was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He was a retired carpenter who enjoyed fishing and watching drag racing.
Surviving are his children, Jennifer (Andy) King of Duncan, SC and Amber Avant of Lockhart, SC; seven grandchildren, Mark, Natalie, Ethan, Dalanie, Robert, Nathan, Kinsley; his sisters, Cindy (Eddie) Chin of Chapin, SC, Sylvia (Bobby) Glisson of Georgetown, SC, Debbie (Lavern) Jacobs of Georgetown, SC; his brother, Timothy (Samantha) Avant of Georgetown, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Lester Arnold Avant, Jr.
