Obituary of Wilma S. Nesmith

Wilma S. Nesmith, 85, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Billy Anderson and Pastor Johnny Poston, will be held Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2pm at First Assembly of God. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church from 1pm-2pm. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
Born December 30, 1931 in Johnsonville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Alburn Jewell Stone and the late Sally Oliver Lyerly Stone.
Mrs. Nesmith was a member of First Assembly of God and the Open Bible Sunday School Class. Before she retired, she was employed as a nurse at Georgetown Memorial Hospital and was an Avon Representative.
Surviving are her daughter, Deborah N. Bowles (Jack) of Summerville; her son, Robert W. Nesmith of Naples, Florida; a sister, Edna Hughes of Hemingway; two grandchildren, Lauren Fletcher (Chad) of Dallas, Texas and Natalee Nesmith of Naples, Florida; a great grandchild, Caroline Fletcher of Dallas, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Liston Leroy “Roy” Nesmith; a son, Bernard “Bernie” Nesmith; a sister, Betty Poston; and a brother, Dexter Stone.
