Obituary of Jerry Wayne Brown
Jerry Wayne Brown, 74, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Born in High Point, NC on July 21, 1942, he was a son of Mildred Stanley Brown Davis and the late Vernon Harold Brown.
Mr. Brown was a retired tool and die maker that enjoyed antiques. He loved restoring old items of interest and marveling at the quality of workmanship. He was also interested in Native American culture and collected arrowheads. Earlier in his life he enjoyed hunting and fishing but more recently spent his free time visiting with family and friends.
Surviving are one son, Jimmy Brown of Asheboro, NC; two daughters, Yvonne Wheeler of Lansing, MI and Jerri Hewitt (Timothy) of Georgetown, SC; his mother, Mildred Davis of Greensboro, NC; one brother, Shawn Johnson of Georgia; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father.
A private service will be held at a later date.
