Obituary of Payton Bryant Gaskins

Payton Bryant Gaskins, 10, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Medical University of South Carolina.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 6pm-8pm at Graham Funeral Home.  Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Dean Baber, will be held at Andrews First Pentecostal Holiness Church on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 4pm.  Interment, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

Born on August 11, 2007 in Georgetown, SC, Payton was the son of Billy Jack Gaskins and Candice Elizabeth Gibson Gaskins.

Payton was an all-American boy who loved being outdoors.  He spent his free time hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes and four wheelers.  He was in the fifth grade at Maryville Elementary in Mrs. Kimberly Wall’s Class.  Payton loved his little sister and cousins and spent as much time as possible with them.   He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin whose bright smile and charming personality will be dearly missed.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are: one sister, Morgan Elizabeth Gaskins; grandparents, Lynn and Walter “Pete” Peters, Jr. of Georgetown, SC, Bonnie and Lynwood Cribb, Sr. of Georgetown, SC, Andrew Troy Gaskins of Charleston, SC; great grandparents, Sue Gibson, of Georgetown, SC, Rita Peters of Georgetown, SC, Walter Peters, Sr. of Allentown, PA, James and Trudy Blake of Mount Pleasant, SC, Joyce and Rocky Altman, of Georgetown, SC;  seven aunts, Tanya Kirvin (Timmy) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Jamie Finley (Cory) of Georgetown, SC, Lori Cribb of Georgetown, SC, Barbara Gonzales (Juan) of Summerville, SC, Angie Arias (Enrique) of Summerville, SC, Sabrina Nesbitt (Jamie) of Georgetown, SC, and Stephanie Bradoc (Josh) of Andrews; six uncles, Andy Gaskins Jr. (April), Chris Gaskins, Troy Gaskins, all of Summerville, SC, Lynwood Cribb Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, Johnnie Carter (Jennifer) of Andrews, SC, Andrew Peters of Georgia; a number of cousins; and many friends.

Payton was predeceased by his grandfather, Tracey Gibson and his great grandfather, Bennett Laverne Gibson.
