Obituary of Donald Wayne Moore

Georgetown

Donald Wayne “Duck” Moore, 70, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away Tuesday February 20, 2018 at the Medical University of South Carolina.

A visitation and celebration of life will be held Friday February 23, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home.

Born June 25, 1947 in Conway, South Carolina, he was a son of the late Mr. Frank Spivey Moore and Mrs. Harriet Avant Moore.

Mr. Moore grew up in Georgetown and was a graduate of Winyah high school.  He was retired from International Paper Company where he worked many years as a mechanic.  Mr. Moore was a member of Elks Lodge #1771 in Myrtle Beach where he was PER.  He was also a member of Georgetown’s VFW Post 6444 Men’s Auxiliary.  Mr. Moore was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed many trips with friends and family to the races in Darlington and beyond.  He loved watching his children play sports and was a devoted Gamecock fan.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 20 years, Yevette Aubin Moore are: two daughters, Alyson Moore Carter of Georgetown, Dillon Moore Cook and her husband, Chris of Georgetown; three sons, Adrian R. Moore of Georgetown, Aaron R. Moore and his wife Michele, and Ashton R. Moore and his wife Krystin, all of Myrtle Beach; nine grandchildren, Bishop Altman, Madison Altman, Caroline Carter, Lilyanna Kramer, Savannah Moore, Skyler Moore, Paisley Moore, Jaidon Moore, and Brennan Moore; two brothers, Kent Lee Moore (Debbie) of Georgetown and Frank “Tim” Moore (Peggy) of Cerro Gordo, North Carolina; an uncle, Lavern Avant; and a number of nieces and nephews.
