Obituary of Lewis Carroll Strickland

Lewis Carroll Strickland, 68, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at his home.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 6PM-8PM at Graham Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 3PM in Graham Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.

Born in Coward, SC on December 20, 1949, Mr. Strickland was a son of the late Lewis Melvin Strickland and Thadgelene Strickland.

Mr. Strickland was a former sheriff’s deputy and retired from International Paper.  He was a karate teacher and an avid Gamecock fan.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and watching westerns.

Surviving are one daughter, Penny Melton of Wilmington, NC; one granddaughter, Kayla Melton of Wilmington, NC; special caregivers, Renee Ethridge, Andrew Poston, Robert and Karen Corieri, Bethany P. Corieri; several cousins and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters, Sylvia Strickland, Joann Lambert, Jacklyn Cusaac, and Jennie Lynn Payne and a brother, J.C. Strickland.
