To the Family of H. McRoy Skipper,
I was shocked and sadden to learn that H. McRoy Skipper had passed away. I was a long distance client of McRoy Skipper. McRoy has prepared my Income Taxes for the past 33 years. I currently reside in Georgia and I communicated with McRoy via phone, postal mail and email. He was an excellent CPA/Accountant and he will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My sincere condolences to the Skipper family. I know this is a difficult time for the family and I pray God comforts the family during this time of bereavement. May the many cherished and fond memories of Hebert comfort his family and friends. A comforting thought to keep in mind is at Isaiah 25:8 "He (GOD) will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces." May you all have calming thoughts and peace of mind during this time.

Words cannot be spoken what we felt when we were told of this terrible tragedy of old friends. Alto' we never knew Jo, McRoy was our CPA for many years while we lived in Georgetown & Columbia...so to all of the family members, rest assured that God has a great CPA to do heaven's taxes and that you all are in our prayers...your human hurt will get better as time passes...

I am so deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Mr. Skipper and Ms. Jo. My heart goes out to the entire family as you go through this difficult time.
Mr. Skipper was the first person to offer me a job when I moved here in 2007. He was a great mentor and truly cared about the people he worked with. He went out of his way for me when I received an emergency call at work informing me that my husband had a heart attack. Knowing we didn’t have family in the area, he reached out to a family friend that worked at the hospital so I wasn’t alone in the waiting room. (My husband survived). I was so grateful for that act of kindness. Both my husband and I enjoyed several Christmas parties at their home and Mr. Skipper and Ms. Jo always made us feel so welcome.
We feel blessed to have known them for the short time that we did. They both had a wonderful character and set an example for all to model. They have positively impacted and influenced many lives, including our own. They both will be missed dearly.

Our hearts and love go out to the entire family. Steve and Kenneth, you have parents that you can be very proud of and I know that you have wonderful memories that will help get you through these days.
They both showed the light of Christ in all they did and to each person they met.
I am better for knowing them and Georgetown County will miss them dearly.

My heartfelt condolences to the Skipper Family. I am so sorry to hear of the death of Mr. & Mrs. Skipper. I have never had the opportunity to meet them. I have only heard very good things about them and how beneficial they were to Tidelands Health. I know they will be sadly missed and forever in the hearts of their love one and all the friends they had. Please know that I share your sorrow at their loss.

To Kenny and Steven,
Your parents were a huge part of who I am, they were the kind of parents you could use as a template for all others. Mr. Mac was firm but fair, and taught me how to wash a car. "His Car"!! Mrs Jo was so loving always, and hauled Kenny and I all over town in that little Toyota truck. Im positive Keith and Blanche met them at the gates of Heaven. So miss them but celebrate thier lives and know you will see them soon.

Dear Family of McRoy and Jo:
The news of McRoy and Jo tragic wreck is shocking. McRoy has helped me, done my taxes, been my friend, been a fellow rotarian, for 30 years.
McRoy always had a good attitude, had a joke, was smart, had a good personality, loved his family and friends, surrounded himself with family photos.
McRoy was a great man.
Jo I last saw the Friday before the wreck, going into the post office as I usually saw Jo.
It is so senseless this loss.
We mourn with you.
Sincerely,
Reuben and Wanda Goude

I was heartbroken when I heard the news of Mr. Skipper's passing. I met him personally a few times at TH events. The first time I met him I was attending an event with my son who was 13 at the time, we were at a restaurant where TH employees were receiving recognition for awards previously won. The restaurant mostly served seafood.. not my son's favorite. During the announcements Mr. Shipper checked on my son (over the loud speaker) very often. He even offered to purchase a meal that my son would eat. He was a genuinely funny, but professional man. TH will miss him dearly. Our community has lost one of the good ones.
