Obituary of Mildred Ethelyn Blake
Mildred Ethelyn Thomas Blake, 95, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Savannah, Georgia. She was the oldest daughter of Phillip Fred Thomas, Sr. and Annie G. Thomas. Mrs. Blake was a lifelong resident of Georgetown County, attended public schools and graduated from Winyah High School.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11AM at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 10AM at Graham Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Herman Blake, parents, several brothers and sisters, and one grandson, William Keith Moulton.
Mrs. Blake was a charter member of Wayne Methodist Church and held many offices in her many years of service to her church. She worked outside the home for many years and retired from the City of Georgetown after 25 years of service. Mrs. Blake was a devoted wife and a loving mother to her daughters. She will be dearly missed by friends and family members alike.
Mrs. Blake is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth B. Moulton of Pawleys Island and Carol B. Armstrong (Rick) of Savannah, GA; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; three brothers; and two sisters.
