Obituary of Dennis Eugene Smith

Dennis Eugene Smith, 71, husband of Rhonda Gail Spaulding Smith, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Born in Columbus, Ohio on July 5, 1948, he was a son of the Viola Rebecca Swank Bond and the late Louis Henry Smith.

Mr. Smith was a kid at heart who had the best-looking grass in the neighborhood.  He loved the outdoors, tinkering in the garage and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 41 years and his mother, are one son, Dennis Smith of Columbus, Ohio; two daughters, Dorothy (James) Lettau of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Teresa Parfitt (Jon) of Grove City, Ohio; one sister, Ruth Combs (Burnis) of Commercial Point, Ohio; three brothers Richard, Eddie & Mike Smith;  grandchildren Jon Jr.(Becca) Parfitt, Raina (Garrett) Flowers and Lily Parfitt; Emilee (Patrick) Cuyler; Melanie (Derek) Hall; Tabytha Howard; Eric Prevalett and Holli Silva (Jim) and a number great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Smith.

A private funeral service will be held at Spence-Miller Funeral Home in Grove City, Ohio.
