My Dad and Dick were great friends for a very long time. My Dad was could really be an uptight pain-in-the-rear, and Dick knew EXACTLY how to push his buttons, and did so at every opportunity. Well, one day back in 1994, Dick took my Dad and I to the car dealership in Georgetown where he worked. He had picked out a shiny new red Mustang convertible for me. My Dad had no idea and nearly fainted on the spot! Dick just looked at him and said, “Dammit Tommy, buy her the car and quit being such a tight ass”. Well, I got the car.... Thank you, Dick, for all the love and all the laughter....
