Obituary of Norma Gene Hanna

Norma Gene Butler Morris Hanna, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2020 at her home. She was born on June 8, 1942 in Georgetown County, SC to the late James Earl Butler, Sr. and the late Lelia Mae Bradshaw Butler. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 2:30PM at Georgetown Church of Christ. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:45PM-2:30PM. Mrs. Hanna was a devoted member to the Georgetown Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Winyah High School Class of 1959 and liked to stay in touch with friends and family via social media. She loved cooking and was interested in her family history. Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Billy Ulmer Hanna; two daughters, Gwen Moore (Joe) of New London, NC and Anne Marie Braxton (Freddie) of Georgetown; two sons, Larry Morris (Cindy) of Georgetown and David Morris (Debbie) of Georgetown; eleven grandchildren, Edward(Samantha), Allen (Tracy), Justin, Brianna (Kevin), Megan (Josh), Joel, Brooke, Marlea, PJ, Ava, and Bracston; seven great-grandchildren, Remmi, Olivia, Easton, Willow, Wells, Kena, and Harrison; two brothers, Jimmy Butler (Rose) and Sammy Bradshaw (Linda); and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Allen Lawrence Morris and two sisters, Katherine B. Benford and Anne B. Harrelson.
