Obituary of Vernell Moore

Vernell Lambert Moore, 88, widow of Allen James Moore, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at her daughter’s home. Born on November 1, 1923, in Georgetown County, she was a daughter of the late John Ratler Lambert and the late Mamie Lambert. Mrs. Moore was a member of Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as a former Sunday School teacher and was a member of the Adult Sunday School class. She enjoyed crocheting and doing word search puzzles but above all she enjoyed serving her Lord and working in her church. Survivors include two sons, Heyward Moore and Bert Moore both of Georgetown; two daughters, Gail Lambert of Georgetown and Kimberly Moore of Jamestown; 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Stella Watts of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Frankie Moore; and a brother, Solon Lambert. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Chris Browder officiating. Burial will follow in the Lambert Cemetery.
