Ronnie, I just found the FindAGrave memorial for Carol. It saddens me to hear this news. Your life has been turned upside down so many times. I see that you moved back to SC after retirement. I hope you are doing well. I tried to call you but the number Im have no longer works.

I was a private caregiver/sitter while Carol was living at The Pearl Five Forks. She was actually Mr Dalton's (my client) next door neighbor! What a hoot she was!
Always smiling and always concerned for others. Mr Dalton would often hold the door for her, and tell her "how nice you look today". Carol would blush with that childlike grin, thank him and say, "Well, Ron is coming today! "
After the Covid lockdown, I'd often find her lying back on a sofa, legs kicked up and crossed, holding the I-Pad with Ron on the other end, or reading my latest edition of Large Print Reader's Digest.
She was precious during our time together. I'll always remember her willingness to try new things.
Like so many others, however, she just could not understand the quarantine...

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of our dear friend Carol. Our memories of Carol are one of sweet times of laughter and enjoying our time together hearing God's word in Stan's Bible Believer's class. Memories of our fellowship together eating out and visiting with you and Carol at your home are special to us. May God give you comfort and peace in the days ahead.
Love from Ronnie and Carolyn

Carol came into our lives through a coworker. He recommended her to babysit our daughter. Our relationship grew quickly into more than our daycare giver. Carol and Ron embraces our family and we became good friends. Boyd became the ‘big boss man’ to our girls. So many memories back in Minooka, Illinois. Our family and friends quickly came to know Carol and Ron and Boyd. Halloween traditions started at The Barkers. To this day, our Halloween tradition after trick or treating came from Carol and Ron. We will never forget the love shared with Carol. She was one of a kind. Anyone who was blessed to have met Carol knew quickly she was kind soul. I will miss Carol the rest of my days! ❌❤️❌❤️
