Obituary of Tommy Hardwick

Tommy Griffin Hardwick, 75, widower of Kathryn J. Hardwick, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Born on July 16, 1937, in Conway, he was a son of the late William Arthur Hardwick and the late Pearl Bellamy Hardwick. Mr. Hardwick was a faithful member of Eastside Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a choir member, former deacon, usher and Sunday School Superintendent. Mr. Hardwick was a US Navy veteran and was a founding member of the local United Steel Workers Union. He was a Clemson Tigers Fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr.
Survivors include one son, Rev. Tommy Hardwick, Jr. of Georgetown; one grandchild, Brooklyn Nicole Hardwick; four brothers, Blondel Hardwick (Anna) of Conway, Vonnie Hardwick (Bev) of Conway, Estin Hardwick of Memphis, TN and John Hardwick (Patricia) of Conway; five sisters, Essie Adair of Georgetown, Arthurleen Alford (Cole) of Georgetown, Joyce Ann Cunningham (Charles) of North Charleston, Betty Alford of Georgetown and Judy Hardwick of Goldsboro, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Wade Hardwick.
Funeral Services will be held at 3PM Monday, September 10, 2012 at Eastside Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Haselden. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday at Eastside Free Will Baptist Church.
