Obituary of Charles Eugene Moore, Sr.

Charles Eugene Moore, Sr., 78, husband of Patricia “Jean” Moore, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 27, 2022 surrounded by his family. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 6PM-8PM at First Baptist Church. A funeral service, officiated by Dr. Ted Sherrill, will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at First Baptist Church at 11AM. Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will immediately follow the funeral service in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Mr. Moore was born in Kingstree, SC on February 5, 1944, to the late Furman Harley Moore and the late Annie Lee McCutchen Moore. Mr. Moore was a 1963 Winyah High School graduate and a sports enthusiast who coached many years in Georgetown County Youth Recreation. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and training bird dogs. By far, his favorite moments were those spent in the company of his children and grandchildren. Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife of 58 years are, one daughter, Tiffany Winslow (Glynn) of Georgetown; three sons, Bubba Moore (Tammy), Matt Moore (Colby), and Michael Moore (Katie) all of Georgetown; twelve grandchildren, Jake Winslow, Luke Winslow, Will Winslow, Maggie Williamson (Tripp), McFaddin Moore, Bailey Camlin, Memphis Moore, Henleigh Moore, Lanson Moore, Camden Moore, Emerson Moore, and Cooper Moore; one great grandchild, Ro Williamson; three special sisters-in-law, Vivian Davis, Barbara Lee, and Marsha Moore; one brother-in-law, Tommy Lee; one sister, Cathy Mattas of Utah; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley Moore and Allen Moore. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.grahamfuneralhome.org.
