Obituary of John Allen Pilchard

John Allen Pilchard, 67, husband of Donna Lamm Pilchard, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022 in the sanctuary of Wayne Methodist Church. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Mr. Pilchard was born January 7, 1955 in Clarendon County, the son of the late Allen Dunham Pilchard and Mary Helen Hodge Pilchard. He was a member of Wayne Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends. Mr. Pilchards favorite outdoor activities were camping and fishing. He was also an avid Gamecock fan and supported them through thick and thin. Surviving, in addition to his wife of almost forty-four years are two sons, Justin Pilchard and his wife Erica of Myrtle Beach, Jared Pilchard and his wife Nicole of Charleston; two grandsons, Tyler Pilchard and Sebastian Pilchard, both of Myrtle Beach: one sister, Deborah Pilchard Ward and her husband Wayne of Alcolu; and a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
