Obituary of Nessell Erline Lowrimore

Nessell Erline Lowrimore passed away Monday September 11, 2023 at home surrounded by family. The Lowrimore Family will receive friends 6pm Thursday September 14, 2023 at Graham Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7pm in the chapel of Graham Funeral Home. Burial will be 1030am Friday September 15, 2023 in Bonaventure Cemetery of Savannah, Georgia. Born in Georgetown July 9, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William James Lowrimore and the late Nolia Robbins Lowrimore. Ms. Lowrimore was raised in Savannah, Georgia and retired form Stern Ports Authority after many years of service. She enjoyed showing friends and family around Savannah and teaching them about the history of the city. Upon retirement, she moved back to Georgetown to spend more time with her family. She was a very loving and caring person that never forgot a loved one’s birthday, often crocheting them special gifts. Surviving are one first cousin, Reverend Franklin C. Lowrimore and his wife Sara of Georgetown; six second cousins, Henry Lowrimore and his wife Susan of Georgetown, Kathy Sims and her husband Robert of Georgetown, George Lowrimore and his wife Cindy of Georgetown, Ellen Stone Lowrimore of Hemingway, Danny Lowrimore and his wife Wendy of Georgetown, Donna Pierce and her husband Barry of Georgetown, Audrey Watson, Joyce Huey, Marie Cummings, Dorothy Cunningham, Willie and Martha Lowrimore: and a number of other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a second cousin, Paul E. Lowrimore. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Hampton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1272 Georgetown, SC 29442.
