Obituary of Anne Harper

Anne Marie Bierman Harper, 65, wife of Jerry Harper, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Born on October 16, 1947, in Syracuse, NY, she was a daughter of John Harlow Bierman and Miriam Teresa Brogan Bierman. Mrs. Harper’s love for others led her to becoming a register nurse where she was able to care for many premature babies as a NICU nurse. She also had a love for life and enjoyed gardening, riding bicycles, and traveling. Mrs. Harper dedicated a lot of her time to the Coastal Animal Shelter where she volunteered in caring and seeing after many animals. Anne had a deep unconditional love for all of God’s creations including people, animals and the environment. She attended St. Mary’s A.M.E. Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband of Pawleys Island; mother and father of Ocala, FL; three sisters, Maureen Theresa Bierman of Syracuse, NY, Donna Jean Pelkey (Ronald) of Baldswinsville, NY and Lorraine Margaret Rabb (Ricky) of Boston, MA; two brothers, Edward Joseph Bierman of Canandaigua, NY and John Michael Bierman (Mary Ann) of Creedmoor, NC; and number of nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 PM Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church with Father Patrick J. Stenson officiating.
