Obituary of Ernest Britt

Ernest Paul Britt, 80, passed away on Friday, November 02, 2012 at his home. Born on October 15, 1932, in Andrews, he was a son of the late Paul Britt and the late Cindy Ethridge Britt. Mr. Britt was a member of Screven Baptist Church, the Keystone Sunday School Class and the American Legion Post 114. He was a US Navy veteran and was retired from International Paper Company. Mr. Britt loved his family and enjoyed sports as well as photographing different sporting event. Survivors include three brothers, Jack Britt (Shirley) of Jackson, NC, Lewis "Louie" Britt (Becky) of Georgetown and Robert Britt (Jeannette) of Nesmith; one sister, Daisy Joyner of Nashville, NC; a special aunt, Nora Lawrence of Georgetown; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Don O’Quinn (Oleane) of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by a brother, Happy Britt. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Screven Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Forest Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Saturday at Graham Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Tidelands Community Hospice House, 2591 N.
